A project called

.film

The .film project was born in 2018 when I was given my trusty Nikon FM2 for Christmas: an old camera that had never been used and whose destiny had been relegated to a mere cap for an old Nikkor 18-300mm lens.

My approach to analog photography came after 10 years of digital photography, although, being born in the early 80s, this world was not new to me: my father's old Olympus camera was the object of my desire during family vacations. Also I clearly remember the waiting time at the photo shop for the development of the photos was something interminable.

As usual in my style, I threw myself headlong into this new experience which soon became a true passion, so much so that the Nikon FM2 became the camera that always accompanies me on all my travels and with which I experiment with the most diverse techniques of analog photography.
Together with a friend who introduced me to this fantastic world, I created a personal development laboratory: I learned to develop negatives and print photos, completing the entire process (RIP George Eastman: your advertising slogan "You press the button, we do the rest" doesn't work with me).

The intent of this blog is to share the experiences and knowledge I have learned, to exchange my opinions and document my successes (few) and failures (many) in this magical world of analog photography.
